She was a student of Georges Baly at the Baly Music Conservatory until relocating to the United States in 2010. Sarah became active in percussion, and as well as singing in choirs, where she had the opportunity to perform at the Boston Symphony Hall. She returned to playing guitar after taking a few years off and has been focusing on it since.
Other than playing as a soloist, Sarah is an active Chamber musician as a member of the following ensembles: Duo Bonança, with Portuguese flutist, Clarisse Gomes; Duo Hygge, with Mexican guitarist, Shaí Vertty; and most recently, she joined the Fairy Guitar Quartet with Italian guitarists Francesco Smirne, Roberta Mercorio, and Francesco Fausto. She was a member of the ensembles that performed the world premieres of Clarice Assad’s composition “Dusty Grooves” (2017) and Nikita Koshkin’s “Storm Warning” (2020) at the New England Guitar Ensemble Festival held by the Boston Classical Guitar Society.
Sarah performed in masterclasses for renowned artists such as Oscar Ghiglia, Leo Brouwer, Andrew York, Jason Vieaux, Xuefei Yang, Scott Tennant, Xavier Jara, Tengyue Zhang, Dušan Bogdanović, Celil Refik Kaya, Richard Provost, among others. Sarah's current post-graduate project, The Art of Making and Recording Studio Ghibli Arrangement(s), is a 15-track album that reimagines Studio Ghibli compositions through solo, duo, and trio arrangements, aiming to expand the instrument’s repertoire while preserving the essence of these beloved melodies. Driven by a deep passion for both performance and arrangement, Sarah strives to offer fresh and innovative musical experiences—ones that resonate deeply with modern audiences while honoring the timeless magic of original soundtracks.
